Patrick Connor, who co-hosts a sports-talk show on Sirius XM¡¯s Barstool Radio channel,?apologized?Wednesday for calling 17-year-old Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Chloe Kim a ¡°little hot piece of a¨C¡± during Tuesday¡¯s show. However, Connor was fired from another station for which he worked, San Francisco¡¯s KNBR.
Yesterday in a weird attempt to make people laugh I failed. My comments about @chloekimsnow were more than inappropriate they were lame & gross. Im truly sorry Chloe. You¡¯ve repped our country so brilliantly. I apologize to my colleagues & the listeners for being a total idiot.

Deadspin¡¯s Laura Wagner noted the?remarks Tuesday evening,?offering this transcription of the exchange between Connor and his ¡°Dialed-In¡± co-hosts: comedian Brody Stevens and former MLB pitcher Dallas Braden, who were working together for only their second show:
Stevens:?Me, personally, I¡¯m on Twitter, I see Chloe Kim, I¡¯m thinking Khloe Kardashian, Kim [Kardashian], I don¡¯t want to deal with that. So I missed out on the whole Chloe Kim thing. But it¡¯s a good story. She¡¯s into it, a little kid ¡ª I¡¯m inspired by it.
Braden:?Chloe Kim, famous for riding a very different board than Kim Kardashian.
Connor:?No doubt, and in fact just to keep it on that tip, her 18th birthday is April 23, and the countdown is on baby, ¡¯cause I got my?Wooderson?going. ¡°That¡¯s what I like about them high school girls.¡±
Stevens:?I love it P-Con, I¡¯m right there with you.
Connor:?She¡¯s fine as hell! If she was 18, you wouldn¡¯t be ashamed to say that she¡¯s a little hot piece of a¨C. And she is. She is adorable. I¡¯m a huge Chloe Kim fan.
Connor hosted?an early-morning show on KNBR until Wednesday. Jeremiah Crowe, the station¡¯s program director, confirmed to The Post that?Connor was ¡°no longer with Cumulus Media,¡± the company that owns the station. Sirius XM did not reply to a request for comment.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy called Connor¡¯s comment ¡°sort of stupid¡± in a post published Wednesday night, but also called Wagner¡¯s Deadspin story ¡°another hit piece.¡±
Portnoy remained defiant Wednesday, discussing Barstool¡¯s mission while retweeting news from WEEI sports-talk radio in Boston, which has come under fire in recent weeks for a number of on-air incidents. The station announced Wednesday that it would be shutting down live programming on Friday so that its employees can take mandatory sensitivity training. Portnoy wrote that Barstool ¡°won¡¯t let advertisers, crybabies and jealous people dictate what we do.¡±
Nothing is more important @barstoolsports than trying to bring humor to our fans lives. Occasionally we miss the mark. Most of the time we don¡¯t. Regardless we won¡¯t let advertisers, crybabies and jealous people dictate what we do. You don¡¯t like us? Don¡¯t listen, watch or read. https://t.co/twYZRJGZlr

In December, Barstool Sports editor in chief Keith Markovich wrote a post about high school student¡¯s viral video, describing her in the headline as ¡°a hot Texas cheerleader.¡± After the cheerleader¡¯s mother noted in the item¡¯s comments section that her daughter was 16 years old, the story was taken down.
Calling Kim ¡°awesome¡± while describing himself as ¡°a total jacka¨C¡± in an exchange with another Twitter user Wednesday, Connor added, ¡°My stupid comment didn¡¯t come from a mean place?¡ it came from an incredibly thoughtless & immature one.¡±
On Wednesday, Braden discussed Connor¡¯s comments on the Barstool Radio show and vowed not to abuse the ¡°holy responsibility¡± that comes with hosting a national program.
¡°We are not a gutter brand,¡± he said. ¡°We will not be in the gutter. We will not come from the gutter.¡±
Then, seemingly addressing Connor, he said: ¡°You will clean it the [expletive] up, or Day 3 will be the last day here. This is not how we do [expletive], it¡¯s just not how we do it, and it¡¯s not how it¡¯s going to be handled moving forward. ¡ We understand the severity and the seriousness of the comments made.¡±
