Loveday Morris is The Washington Post's Jerusalem bureau chief. Before moving to Jerusalem in 2017, she spent three years in Iraq as Baghdad bureau chief covering the country's battles against the Islamic State, from Fallujah to Ramadi and Mosul. She started with The Post as Beirut correspondent in 2013, largely covering Syria's civil war. Before that, she freelanced from the region for publications including the United Kingdom's Independent newspaper. She began her career at Bloomberg News, covering financial news in London, before moving to the Middle East for the National newspaper in Abu Dhabi.
