Tom Hamburger joined The Washington Post in 2012. He has received numerous journalism prizes for investigative reporting, including citations from the National Press Club and the White House Correspondents' Association. He was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1996. He is the author, with Peter Wallsten, of "One Party Country," a Los Angeles Times bestseller describing the Republican Party's strategy for dominance during the presidency of George W. Bush. He worked previously for the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, McClatchy Newspapers, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Arkansas Gazette.
